Although Kate Upton and Justin Verlander walked down the aisle in Tuscany last month (4th November), details regarding their nuptials have been kept under wraps – until now.
Thanks to Vogue magazine, the new batch of never-before-seen photos show the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model in not one but two extravagant gowns. Judging from the stunning images alone, it’s safe to assume that no expense was spared.
For the wedding ceremony, Upton was dressed in a white lace and organza wedding gown. She was later seen in a red Valentino bombshell dress during the reception while the Houston Astros pitcher sported a custom-made red tuxedo jacket. “I wanted a dress that I could have fun in, but that still brought the glamour,” the beautiful A-lister was quoted as saying.
In case you’re wondering, the dreamy wedding took place above a garden at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort. “We found a beautiful corner of paradise that Tuscany Flowers helped transform into our ‘secret garden’. It was the first time the property had ever held a ceremony in this location,” Upton told the fashion publication.
Take a look at their wedding photos here:
The happy couple exchanged their “I dos” in-front of close family and friends. The newlyweds were photographed between two Italian urns that were filled with pale pink roses. The hardwood floor at the wood fence also had petals, making it look like an idyllic vista.
In the Vogue featured article, Upton recalled how she met Verlander in 2014 and the time when he proposed. “Justin is very romantic and asked me to marry him in Turks and Caicos at sunset on a boat after a fun day of exploring and Jet Skiing,” she said. “The Layover” actress confessed that their wedding was “extremely romantic and will always be a special place for us”.
We’re bumped that our invitation got lost in the mail, but we couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds and their loved ones.
