Fergie’s music video for her new hit single “A Little Work” is here and we love it!
Directed by the renowned Jonas Åkerlund from Sweden, the music video captures the struggles of a single mother, dealing with the ups and downs of life.
The video starts with Fergie as a mental patient in bed and in a padded cell struggling and trying to break free — in an abstract way of displaying her emotional and mental struggles.
Shortly after that, we see her being a single mom who is just coming home from grocery shopping, multi-tasking between preparing meals, taking care and changing her baby. She also deals with the prospect of possibly being evicted from her home. As tough as things get, she keeps herself going, battling for a better future.
Towards the end, we find out that her significant other is actually a war hero who was killed in battle. That is followed by a funeral, and a chaotic scene – and Fergie walking out of the church with her kid – determined to make the most out of life.
Fergie’s “Double Dutchess” album is out in stores now.
