This is truly inspiring. A grandmother recently proved that it’s never too late to fulfil your dreams if you keep trying.
At 73 years old, Fatimah Hassan finally passed her driving test organised by the Road Transport Department (RTD) yesterday (Thursday, 12th October). This was her 2nd attempt after failing the first try.
“I am so grateful to Allah. Words cannot describe my feelings of happiness. It was as if a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders when RTD announced that I had passed the test,” she was quoted as saying. After failing her initial test on 4th October (last Wednesday), she was determined to give it another go.
“Now that I have obtained the licence, I feel more confident and do not fear driving in front of authorities anymore,” Fatimah told Bernama, adding that her 5th child took a day off from work to lend some moral support. She also shared that her other children had called her prior to the exam to wish her good luck and offered words of encouragement.
Kudos to Fatimah! Not only did this granny achieved her dream but she’s now also on the right side of the law.
