So instead of splurging at expensive restaurants, we’ve come up with a list of cheaper options to celebrate Malaysia Day. Ranging from buffet and set meals to desserts, here are some irresistible food offers.

1. Kenny Rogers Roasters

Dine in at Kenny Rogers Roasters Malaysia this week and enjoy their Buy 1 Free 1 promotion deal. The promo has already started and will carry on until 15th September (Friday). Do note that the red hot meal promo is only valid from 11am till 3pm and for dine-in only. So that means, it won’t be available for takeaway, delivery, or catering. In addition, purchases of discounted items are not entitled for any KRR Card Bonus.

2. Ayamas

Attending a potluck or family gathering this Saturday? Save yourself the hassle and purchase a delicious Ayamas chicken. Enjoy a discounted price of RM16.90 for a whole chicken (original price RM23.50) from the 3 options available. They are the Golden Roaster, Percik Roaster, and Pepper Roaster.

3. Ah Mah Traditional Egg Sponge Cake

Visiting Penang this weekend? Drop by the newly-opened Ah Mah Sea View Kopitiam branch at Chai Leng Park for the shop’s “Buy 1 Free 1” promo. 5. Baskin Robbins

What’s better than ice cream? Free ice cream of course! There’s no doubt that those with sweet tooths will be screaming with joy for ice cream. After dinner, make your way to the nearest Baskin Robbins outlet for a free scoop of ice cream. Since it’s a weekend night, we anticipate a long queue so try to be there early. Ice cream lovers can claim their free scoop of any flavour starting from 8pm onwards.

6. Swensen’s

In addition to Baskin Robbins, another franchise is also giving out free ice cream. To celebrate Swensen’s new outlet in Puchong IOI Mall, the restaurant chain will be giving 900 free ice creams throughout 3 days (300 cones per day). Visit the outlet between 2pm – 5pm, from this Friday (15th September) until Sunday (17th September). Remember to “like” Swensen’s Facebook page, share their post, and tag your friends before claiming the dessert.

7. Lucky Bo Cafe

9. Jogoya Buffet Restaurant

Come and have a delightful buffet spread at Jogoya Buffet Restaurant, Starhill Gallery. Known for their different types of cuisine such as Japanese, Western, Chinese, Thai, and Pan Asian, the eatery’s latest special deal for their buffet is RM19.90 (RM23.20 after GST plus service charge) for the 2nd person. However, the promo for lunch, dinner, and supper buffets are only available during weekdays with the exception of Friday’s dinner buffet.
10. Okashi World

Okashi (お菓子) means “snacks” in Japanese. So if you’re a fan of Japanese food products, go ahead and stock up on Okashi World’s latest promotional deals. They include Yamaki Soup Base Seasoning, Ajinomoto Cook-Do, Morinaga Hi-Chew Strawberry Candy, and Japanese Coke. According to their Facebook page, there are currently 22 Okashi World stores in Malaysia, including 12 within the Klang Valley and 4 in Penang.
