Marvel’s “Ant-Man And The Wasp” has begun production. This comes after the studio announced that Michelle Pfeiffer (of “Batman Returns” fame) joined the cast at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
The highly-anticipated film is the follow-up to “Ant-Man”(2015) and it sees the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp. Meanwhile, the brief teaser video features 2 tiny chairs, with the names Ant-Man and The Wasp written on it.

According to the official synopsis, the sequel is set after the events of “Captain America: Civil War”. It follows Scott Lang as he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man. He’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. The hero must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as they try to uncover secrets from their past.
“Ant-Man And The Wasp” also stars Abby Ryder Forston as Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie and Judy Greer as ex-wife Maggie, as well as Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, and David Dastmalchian as the hero’s old crime friends.

Besides that, new cast members include Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Forster aka Goliath, “Fresh Off The Boat”star Randall Park as SHIELD agent Jimmy Woo, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch.
Directed by Peyton Reed (of “Yes Man” fame), “Ant-Man And The Wasp” is slated for release on 6th July 2018.
