The boys of EXO (엑소) are going tropical for their 4th album “The War”, with the title track “Ko Ko Bop”.
Over the weekend, SM Entertainment opened an official Instagram account for the group. Besides that, the company has also blessed fans with numerous teaser images and videos.
In the first teaser video, strong tropical elements can be heard in the background music. It shows the boys hanging at a forest-like setting, wearing bright coloured outfits.

Meanwhile, the 2nd teaser clip (above) features Kai and another track (allegedly titled “Diamond”) off the album.
Aside from the new clip, SM has also dropped a couple of individual teaser images of Kai. The series of photos show Kai posing against a tropical background.

In a previous interview, member Baekhyun hinted fans about their new album. “What do people say the most in the summer? ‘Oh it’s so hot’…’hot’ is the hint,” shared the 25-year-old idol singer.
Also, the group intends to promote onstage for a long time. “However, more importantly, we want to perform onstage for a really, really long time with all the members in good health. We want to become singers who are an example to our juniors,” they said.

According to Soompi, the group’s new track “Ko Ko Bop” is described as an energetic reggae pop number. The lyrics depict the night before a fateful, unavoidable war and how the boys should be together and dance freely as if no one is watching. It was also revealed that members Chen, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun have all participated in writing lyrics for the track.
Besides that, SM Entertainment has also dropped a series of teaser images of Baekhyun. Check it out:
“The War” consists of 9 tracks including their title track “Ko Ko Bop.” The album is slated for digital release at 6pm KST on 18th July while the physical album will be available for purchase on 19th July.
