Pledis Entertainment’s boy group NU’EST (뉴이스트, short for New Establish Style Tempo) is preparing to make a comeback.
In a statement, the entertainment company said that the boys will be promoting as a 4-member group. This is because member Minhyun, who is now part of “Produce 101″‘s idol group Wanna One, is not allowed to have double promotions with another group.
Pledis’ official statement reads (translated by All Kpop):
“Hello, this is Pledis Entertainemnt.
We thank the nation’s producers who have showed much love to Jonghyun, Minhyun, Minki, and Dongho during ‘Produce 101’ for the past 4 months, as well as the LOㅅEs (as NU’EST’s fans are lovingly known) who have supported the road they took.
As you know, Minhyun will be seeing fans as a Wanna One member until 31st December 2018. We will also do our best so Minhyun can give back to all the love he has received.
Also, Jonghyun, Minki, and Dongho will be preparing to meet fans once again with Aron, who has been waiting during the ‘Produce 101’ period. Jonghyun, Minki, and Dongho’s break is first and foremost, so we do not have things in detail. But we will work hard so the fans who have been waiting for and supporting them can see the 4 of them soon.
We will all work hard so that the road that Jonghyun, Minhyun, Minki, Dongho, and Aron have walked for the past 5 years, no matter how difficult, was not for nothing, and so that their future road can be happy. And we hope everyone can watch over their road always. We once again thank you for the love you have shown the 5 members.”
This would mark NU’EST first comeback since “Love Paint” (Every Afternoon) in 2016. The group debuted in 2012 with their first single, “Face”. To date, they have released 5 EPs, 2 studio albums, and 1 compilation album.
Good luck, boys! We can’t wait for your comeback 🙂
