South Korean singer and actress Son Ga-in (손가인), otherwise known as Ga In, recently opened about her mental stability.
Ga In is best known as a member of South Korean girl group Brown Eyed Girls (BEG; 브아걸). As a solo artiste, she has released 6 EPs to date.
In a series of posts on her Instagram, Ga In revealed that she has been suffering from panic disorder, insomnia, anxiety, and more. This is due to the repeated malicious comments that Ga In has been receiving, causing her to feel anxious and depressed. However, Ga In also went on to explain that she’s currently receiving treatment for her ailments.
Ga In has not been seen in public since 23rd May due to “health problems”. Her agency Mystic Entertainment confirmed that she was hospitalised and thus, unable to carry out activities. On 24th May, Mystic Entertainment took to her official fancafe to post the following statement:
“Hello, this is Mystic Entertainment.
Ga In will be unable to attend the festival at Sang Ji University in Wonju scheduled for May 24, 2017 due to health related issues.
After a series of abrupt cancellations with her previous scheduled festivals, Ga In wanted to repay fans with a good performance this time, but after being advised from the hospital, she will be hospitalized in order to receive treatment and take rest.
We once again deliver apologies to fans who were waiting for Ga In, and will notify you of any further developments in the future.
We hope fans will understand.”
Unfortunately, this ultimately led to haters accusing her of being pregnant and aborting the baby.
She is currently dating Ju Ji-Hoon (주지훈), a South Korean actor whom she has been seeing since May 2014.
Get well soon, Ga In. Fighting!
