SISTAR’s (씨스타) long-awaited new song is finally out and we have mixed feelings about it.

Don’t get us wrong, “Lonely” sounds great! Amazing, even. We love the beautiful tunes and sad lyrics. But at the same time, we also feel really, really sad that it’s their last release together as a group.

“Lonely” was composed by Black Eyed Pilseung, the producer duo behind SISTAR’s hit songs including “Touch My Body” and “I Like That”. This also marks the girls’ first release since “Insane Love” (몰아애), which was dropped last June.

The music video (above) shows the girls, all dressed chic yet casual outfits, exploring the colourful city of Macau together. Besides that, it also features Macau’s beautiful sceneries and landmarks.

Formed in 2010, SISTAR is made up of 4 members – Hyorin, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom. Dubbed the “queens of summer”, the girl group is known for their sexy concept and refreshing summer tracks. Starship Entertainment confirmed SISTAR’s disbandment on 23rd May.

According to an insider, the girls decided to split because “they each want to individually challenge themselves with other roles”. They will start their week-long promotions for “Lonely” on 1st June through “M Countdown”.

We’re really going to miss SISTAR 🙁

Love new experiences and the colour purple. Did I also mention that I am obsessed with K-pop as much as I am with food?
