These days, moviegoers have come to expect bonus scenes from superhero blockbusters. However, it won’t be the same case for next month’s “Wonder Woman”.
It was announced today (Monday, 22nd May) that the DC film directed by Patty Jenkins won’t be including any additional scenes during the credits.
In speaking with Cinema Blend during a recent press junket, producer Charles Roven explained, “I’m not going to say we’d never do one… There was one in ‘Suicide Squad’. But I don’t think that we want to feel that we’re forced to do something just because we didn’t in the past.”
The mid credits scene in “Suicide Squad” did not just connect the movie to the larger DC Extended Universe, it also helped set up Bruce Wayne’s plan in forming the Justice League. The decision for Warner Bros. to exclude the bonus scene for “Wonder Woman” isn’t entirely surprising since “Batman v Superman” didn’t had one.
