Here’s another must-visit destinations in South Korea for VIPs (as BIGBANG’s fans are lovingly known)!
In celebration of G-Dragon’s upcoming 29th birthday on 18th August, a special “star forest” named “Kwon Ji Yong Forest No. 1” opened at the Seogwipo Citrus Museum in Jeju Island.
According to The Korean Herald, the project was co-organised by Tree Planet, a Seoul-based crowdfunding service for forest planting, and Always-GD, the BIGBANG leader’s official fan. “Kwon Ji Yong Forest No. 1” has a total of 50 citrus trees and products harvested in the forest will be donated to charity as well as social events such as citrus picking activity.
This also marks the first celebrity-named forest. “We are glad to open the forest in such a beautiful city like Seogwipo. We hope the G-Dragon forest becomes a rising tourist attraction in the city,” a representative of Tree Planet said.
Besides the forest, VIPs can also visit G-Dragon’s Cafe Aewol Monsant when travelling in Jeju Island.
K-Pop fans are known to shower their idols with extravagant and expensive gifts. For instance, Chinese EXO-Ls bought a piece of land in Scotland under Sehun’s name for his 23rd birthday. As a result, he can now be referred to “Lord Oh Sehun”.
