Chinese entertainment’s golden couple Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and Angelababy (楊穎) welcomed their first child in January. Nicknamed “Little Sponge”, the baby boy was born in Hong Kong.
Although it’s a happy occasion for the pair (who got married in October 2015), many netizens speculate that their baby was carried by a surrogate mother due to Angelababy’s slim post-pregnancy figure.

In response to the rumours, Hunag took to Weibo to post 2 photos from his wife’s maternity shoot. One of the photos shows Huang crouching down and placing his hands on his wife’s baby bump. The couple can be seen dressed in white.
In his caption, the 39-year-old actor wrote, “Nothing much, it’s just that I feel that being a mother is really not easy! All the mothers in the world are the greatest.”

Rumours went viral after China’s No. 1 Paparazzo Zhuo Wei answered a netizen’s question about the matter. “As far as I know, it wasn’t, it’s a ‘biological’ child,” he wrote on Weibo.
Shortly after that, Angelababy’s Weibo cheekily responded to his post. It said, “Rumours are rumours. We thank Teacher Zhuo for the clarification in the first half of his sentence, but we do not accept the misleading quotation marks in the 2nd half of his sentence. If your post is reposted more than 500 times, you have to bear legal responsibility. We really ‘love you’.”
