Surprise, surprise! Did you know that Miley Cyrus and David Hasselhoff are now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Director James Gunn recently confirmed that Cyrus cameos as a cool character in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”. Fans were also amazed to see actor-cum-singer David Hasselhoff featured on the “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” soundtrack.
The 24-year-old pop star voices the character Mainframe in one of the post credit scenes in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”. For those who don’t know, Mainframe is an alternate universe version of Vision.
“I was watching ‘The Voice’ and I (thought) she’s so likeable and her voice is awesome, she’s got the best voice. And then I asked Kevin (Feige), what do you think about casting Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mainframe? He was like well if you think we can get her… and I got her to do it,” revealed Gunn during a recent press junket.

Besides Cyrus, Hasselhoff has also been making headlines for his contribution to the “Awesome Mix Vol. 2”. Titled “Guardians Inferno”, the last track on the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” soundtrack is performed by The Sneepers along with Hasselhoff. Written by Gunn himself, it’s the only original song on the record.
When we spoke to the 64-year-old entertainer last year, he revealed that he was working on a secret project with Marvel but couldn’t elaborate more. Turns out, it was an instrumental disco jam infused with Hasselhoff’s hilarious rap verse, which is supposed to be from Peter Quill’s point of view.
