Manga fans in Malaysia, we’ve got bad news for you :(
The Malaysian publisher for iconic manga series such as “Doraemon” and “Detective Conan” is closing down. According to The Hive Asia, the publishing house decided to cease operations as their sales have been dropping greatly in the past few years due to the presence of online comic platforms.
As such, they are also running a clearance sale for all of their comic books from now until 26th May. The comics, which are usually priced between RM5.90 to RM8, will now only cost RM2. With a reduction of more than 50%, it’s a total steal!
It’s time to complete your manga collection, peeps.
Details of their sales are as follows:
- Address: 9, Jalan BK 1/18, Kinrara Industrial Park, Bandar Kinrara, 47100 Puchong Selangor.
- Time: Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm daily)
- Date: 11th April – 26th May
However, take note that their operation hours do vary from day to day, depending on the sales of that particular day. We advise you to check out their Facebook page before going to their factory.
Established in 1993, Tora Aman is one of the main publishing house in Malaysia who translated comics such as “Great Teacher Onizuka”, “Slam Dunk”, and “Captain Tsubasa”. Their translated works were one of the main source of comics for enthusiasts before the advent of online comic platforms.
