On Wednesday (29th March), Warner Bros. announced that the sequel’s new title during their CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas. Moreover, director David  F. Sandberg (of “Lights Out” fame) took to Twitter to reveal the sequel’s new name and logo.

“Annabelle: Creation” is a follow-up to John R. Leonetti’s “Annabelle” (2014), which grossed over USD257 million worldwide on a USD6.5 million budget. It was also the 14th highest-grossing horror/supernatural film in the US and Canada.

The upcoming film follows a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Very soon, however, they become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
