“IT” is going to haunt you forever!
The first trailer for the film adaption of Stephen King’s 1986 novel of the same name has finally arrived and the new Pennywise is simply terrifying.
Like the novel, “IT” is set in the town of Derry, Maine. When children begin to disappear, a group of young kids (known as The Losers Club) are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil villain named Pennywise the Dancing Clown (played by Bill Skarsgård), whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
Directed by “Mama” helmer Andrés Muschietti, the screenplay for the horror flick is penned by Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman. The film also stars a group of young actors including Jaeden Lieberher (of “Midnight Special” fame), Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard (of “Stranger Things” fame), Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Nicholas Hamilton.
The trailer starts off by introducing George Denbrough (played by Jackson Robert Scott), the younger brother of Bill Denbrough (played by Jaeden Lieberher) aka the leader of The Losers Club who dies in the hands of Pennywise. It then shows several of the story’s key elements. This includes the creepy house on 29 Neibolt Street and the projector.
The video then ends with George repeatedly saying, “You’ll float, too”.
