TREC Holdings is proud to announce the coming of 2 of Asia’s most prominent F&B and entertainment brands – The Iron Fairies and YG Republique.
The anticipated openings in the 3rd quarter of 2017 at TREC are the brands’ first foray into Kuala Lumpur, further expanding their footprint in the region.
KL-lites and foodies will soon get a taste of the authentic Korean cuisine and dining culture, with the impending arrival of YG Republique – a F&B brand owned by YG Entertainment – which owns record labels, music production company, event management/concert production company, music publishing house, and talent agency that manages the biggest K-Pop’s elite such as BIGBANG, Epik High, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, PSY, CL (of 2NE1 fame), Lee Hi, Choice37, Akdong Musician, and more.
For those of you who are not in the know, YG Republique is a food complex dedicated to YG Entertainment in Myeongdong, Seoul. The complex, which opened last year, consists of a café, pub, and grill restaurant. Samgeori Butcher’s (삼거리 푸줏간), on the other hand, is a YG Entertainment-owned Korean BBQ restaurant located in Hongdae, Seoul’s nightlife district, which opened in 2015. You may remember the news of the restaurant’s opening amid much fanfare, and included an A-list guestlist of YG Entertainment’s artistes such as BIGBANG, 2NE1, PSY, Jinusean, and more.
YG Republique at TREC in Kuala Lumpur will feature 3 F&B brands – K-Pub • K Ramen • Samgeori Butcher’s.
Meanwhile, adding the edge to Terraces and Hive is The Iron Fairies, created and designed by designer extraordinaire Ashley Sutton. The Iron Fairies is known for its extravagant quirks and magical spirit encapsulated in a spell-binding decor. The venue at TREC will be the brand’s 4th outing, with sister venues in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
The arrival of The Iron Fairies and YG Republique will add to the current foreign brands at Hive and Terraces – Le Noir KL (Singapore) • Wine Connection (Bangkok) • DZH Saunaboat Restaurant (Hong Kong).
