Japanese noise rock band Bo Ningen will be coming to Malaysia for the first time!
The London-based quartet is going to perform at The Bee Publika on 25th March 2017.
Bo Ningen (which means “Stick Man” in Japanese) is made up of Taigen Kawabe (bass and vocals), Yuki Tsujii (guitar), Kohhei Matsuda (guitar), and Monchan Monna (drums). Taigen and Kohhei met at a gig in London in 2006 and performed as a duo together. They were later joined by Yuki and Monchan, forming the present day Bo Ningen.
The group played their first show at the Wilmington Arms, London in summer 2007 after a 12-hour jamming session. Since then, they have played at various shows and festivals throughout the UK, Europe, and Japan. Their most notable performances include the 2011 Venice Biennale, which was re-created for Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Festival at Royal Festival Hall, and the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Yohji Yamamoto Friday Late event.
