Facebook Stories is now live.
Yup, you read that right. The social media giant has finally introduced the feature to their mobile app, which allows users to add videos or photos that will disappear in 24 hours.
Similar to Facebook and Instagram, you can also apply geofilters and selfie filters to your videos and photos. The filters available are similar to the ones introduced in Messenger Day (Messenger’s version of Stories).
Facebook Stories is also located at the top panel of the Facebook app, and your “stories” won’t be posted on your regular timeline.
It’s fairly easy to use, just tap right to proceed to the next image or video, or tap left to go back. To skip a person’s story altogether, swipe right. If you have something to say about a certain image or video you see, you just have to click on the reply button at the bottom.
Facebook first introduced Stories as a test feature for users back in December. However, it was only available to those who lived in Ireland.
Facebook Stories is available on Android and iOS devices. If you don’t see the feature yet, go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to update your Facebook app.
