It’s February and this means another new track from K-Pop band DAY6!

After releasing “I Wait (아 왜)” in January, the band has released their 2nd track of the year, “You Were Beautiful (예뻤어)“. The digital single was made public at midnight today (Monday, 6th February) alongside a music video.

The releases are part of their “Every Day6” plan, which promises new music from the band for every month of 2017. The plan also includes 2 concerts from the group, but sadly, those will only be held in South Korea. This month’s concerts were held on the past weekend (4th and 5th February) and the group performed the track exclusively for their fans then.

Like their past songs, “You Were Beautiful” has the band’s signature rock ballad style, and the song is about reminiscing the memories of a past lover. The music video stays true to the track, with JYP actress Jang Hui Ryeong taking the lead role and actor Choi Woo Shik playing her love interest. The 5-minute video starts with Jang receiving an e-mail from Choi, and soon, she begins to travel down memory lane as she goes through several videos of the time they spent together.

As both actors starred in the music video for DAY6’s debut music video, “Congratulation”, fans are speculating that the latest music video is in fact a sequel to the former.

Judge for yourself:

Prior to their debut, the group was named 5Live. They made an appearance in YG Entertainment’s survival reality show “Who Is Next” alongside WINNER and iKON, and even released an OST for the 2013 drama “Bel Ami”. The finally made their debut in 2015, but unfortunately, in February, former member Junhyeok left the band due to personal reasons.
