“The World is Turning Upside Down.”
Created by the Duffer Brothers (Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer), Netflix has dropped the teaser trailer for the 2nd season of “Stranger Things” and it is epic.
Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the critically-acclaimed web series revolves around a supernatural world called the “upside down”. The first season focuses on the disappearance of 12-year-old Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) and the discovery of a top secret government plot. The series is said to be a homage to 1980s pop culture.
The “Stranger Things” TV spot starts off with a retro commercial for breakfast waffles brand, Eggos, which is also Eleven’s (played by Millie Bobby Brown) favourite food. The boys – Mike Wheeler (played by Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (played by Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (played Caleb McLaughlin) – can be seen wearing “Ghostbusters” costumes, standing outside of Hawkins Middle School. Then, a gigantic spider-like creature appears in town.
