Another day, another breakup.
After IU and singer-songwriter Jang Kiha announced their breakup on Monday (23rd January), the latest couple to call it quits is After School’s UEE and actor Lee Sang Yoon. According to South Korean media Star News, the pair decided to end their 1-year relationship just earlier this year.
This was then confirmed by UEE’s label, Pledis Entertainment, who revealed that they broke up due to their busy schedules.
They stated:
“UEE and Lee Sang Yoon broke up early this year. We believe they naturally drifted apart due to their busy schedules. The 2 will still remain good colleagues and support one another.”
Although the pair was spotted linking hands while walking down the red carpet in 2015’s Mnet Asian Music Awards, sources close to them stated that they only started dating in early 2016. Their relationship was then made public in May 2016, with both their labels responding in the affirmative to the news. Due to their matching good looks and height, they were dubbed as the “long-legged couple” and was the envy of many celebrities.
UEE most recently starred in MBC’s drama “Night Light” alongside Jin Goo and Lee Yo Won while Lee Sang Yoon’s last work was the KBS drama “On The Way To The Airport” alongside Kim Ha Neul.
