DSP Media’s new idol group, K.A.R.D, is applauded by fans for its unique co-ed concept, but its latest move has caught the public by surprise.
After unveiling the 4 original members Jiwoo, J.Seph, Somin, and BM, the company uploaded another mysterious image teasing a 5th member. The member was revealed to be none other than KARA’s Youngji, who is dubbed as the “D” of “K.A.R.D”.
However, it is unsure if Youngji will be a permanent or guest member of the group, as the style and colour of her card are slightly different from the others. Hers is in greyish-blue while the others are in shining gold.
While KARA hasn’t officially disbanded yet, the departure of the original members Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Goo Hara, Nicole, and Kang Jiyoung from their former label DSP Media has made it hard for the group to promote with all the members.
This also leaves the fate of new member Heo Youngji in the balance. She’s the only one still signed with the label and is still undergoing promotions under the name of KARA.
K.A.R.D is slated to debut with “Oh Na Na” on 12th December.
