It’s confirmed! miss A’s Suzy will be making her solo debut!
This was confirmed by her label, JYP Entertainment, in a statement today (Thursday, 1st December). This comes after an anonymous source reported that the actress-cum-singer had flown over to Hong Kong to record her solo music video.
The source revealed that Suzy went over to Hong Kong on 25th November for a jewelry brand event as she was their spokesperson, but also used that trip as an opportunity to film her music video and shoot her solo album jacket photos.
The insider continued, “She is currently concentrating on preparing her album which will be released in late December or early next year. Since it is her first solo album she is throwing her heart and soul into everything including the songs to the clothing.”
JYP Entertainment has also verified the claims, but stated that the specific schedule for her solo album have not been discussed yet.
This is not the first time that rumours regarding Suzy’s solo music career has surfaced. Back in April and September, speculations were rife that the miss A singer will be releasing a solo album, but JYP Entertainment was quick to dismiss it.
Suzy debuted with miss A in 2010, but ventured into acting with “Dream High” in 2011. She then acted in a string of successful dramas, including “Big” and “Gu Family Book”. The actress was also in recently concluded “Uncontrollably Fond” with Kim Woo Bin, and will act alongside Lee Jong Suk in upcoming SBS drama “While You Were Asleep”.
