Any J-Pop fans in the house?

Presented to you by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and PROMIC, JPOP Signature in Kuala Lumpur will be bringing 3 amazing Anison (short for anime song) acts to Zouk Club on 19th November (Saturday). The live show, which is part of JETRO’s Japan Weekend event, features Jyo metal singer Fuki Commune, Kosuke Oki, as well as a special unit formed by Mikako Izawa and Saima Nakano.

And guess what? Admissions are free 🙂


JPOP Signature is specially targeted towards businesses promoting Japanese lifestyle and event participants through Japanese Music. The event also allows anime fans to meet their favourite Anison singers.

Singer and lyricist Fuki Commune recently released her 1st studio album, titled “Welcome!”, and she is the singer behind the OST for “Kaitou Joker” while Kosuke Oki, who was a one of the finalists at the 2012 Animax Anison Grand Prix competition, sang the opening theme song for “Battle Spirits Double Drive”. Besides that, Mikako Izawa and Saima Nakano are renowned voice actresses in the anime industry.


Held in Malaysia for the first time, Japan Weekend aims to promote a wider interest in Japan among Malaysians. Other events include Manga Festival 2016 at Isetan KLCC, and Japan Travel Fair at 1 Utama.
