The first teaser for Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun’s upcoming drama has been released.
Viewers got a first glimpse of “The Legend Of The Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설)” just today (Wednesday, 19th October), and it offers a look into the relationship between Lee and Jun’s characters.
The trailer is set against the background of a beach and the sea, and Jun’s character, the last mermaid in the world who approaches modern civilisation for the first time, narrates, “I’m still going to keep my promise. Even if a storm comes, or there’s no one there so it feels lonely, or I feel afraid because its a path I’ve never walked on, I’m going to persevere and go to you.”
Meanwhile, Lee’s character, a genius conman by the name of Heo Joon Jae, seems to be suffering on a beach. We’re still not sure what is going on exactly, but the beautiful scenery featured in the trailer is definitely something you should witness.
PS: Did we mention that f(x)’s Krystal will also make a cameo in the drama? 😉

New character teaser for Lee Min Ho’s character, Heo Jun Jae, has been revealed!
The image is presented in the form of a fake magazine, titled “Trickster”, cover that shows the actor in permed hair. One of the captions reads, “No one can fool me. Bad guy, strange guy, even more bad guy,” while another says, “Welcome, it’s your first time meeting a con artist with a Mensa membership right?”
Besides that, the teaser photo also states that Heo Jun Jae is skilled in hypnosis, art, acting, and neuroscience.
“A man who is hot from head to toe, Heo Jun Jae was born to be a con artist,” claimed the fake magazine.
UPDATE (26th October, 11:05am):
Viewers got another glimpse of Lee Min Ho’s character in several new character teasers and had to chance to experience the comedic side of the drama in a never-before-seen video teaser.
While the conman looks as suave as ever in the photos, he looks a little clueless in the video. It shows the relationship between the 2 main leads, and contrary to what we expected, the teaser is peppered with humorous moments!
