Heads up, music lovers. Your favourite Dutch DJ is coming to South East Asia in the first half of 2017!
International musician Armin van Buuren will be holding his “Armin Only Embrace World Tour”, which is based on his 6th studio album “Embrace” (2015), in Jakarta and Singapore on 31st March and 1st April 2017 respectively.
Best known for his infectious trance beats, van Buuren has hosted a popular weekly radio segment called “A State of Trance” since 2001 and launched several “Armin Only” world tours. His hit single, “This Is What It Feels Like” featuring Trevor Guthrie, was nominated for “Best Dance Recording” at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
When asked about his “Armin Only Embrace” tour, the 39-year-old said, “It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever done. It’s theatre meets performance arts and electronic music, as the show combines elements from theatre, dance, singers, live music and more. I’m very excited to bring this to Jakarta and Singapore, as it is very different from what music fans have seen or heard so far”.
Brought to you by The Livescape Group, the upcoming shows is described as a “multi-sensory experience” and it will feature other genres of music aside from electronic. Other artistes performing at the shows include Mr. Probz, Kensington, Eric Vloeimans & Cimo Fränkel, Angel Taylor, BullySongs, and Betsie Larkin.
