“Parking lot. After School. It’s on.”
In New Line’s latest film “Fist Fight”, badass rapper Ice Cube (real name O’Shea Jackson Sr.) and “Horrible Bosses” actor Charlie Day play 2 high school teachers engaging in an after school fight. The movie is directed by “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” helmer Richie Keen and written by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser.
Other cast includes “Bad Moms” actress Jillian Bell, Tracy Morgan, “Breaking Bad” star Dean Norris, Christina Hendricks, Dennis Haysbert, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher. The film also marks Tracy Morgan’s first film after his unfortunate accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in 2014.
“Fist Fight” centres around the rocky relationship between timid English teacher (played by Day) and his tough colleague (played by Ice Cube). In speaking with USA Today, Keen said that the teachers’ fight” becomes a bigger metaphor for the system and things needing to change”.
“The truth of the matter is at this public high school on a very chaotic day, neither of their philosophies are working,” he added.
