SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment’s first collaboration is finally out!
The much-anticipated music video for Min (from Miss A), Jo Kwon (from 2AM), and Hyoyeon (from SNSD Girls’ Generation)’s SM Station track, titled “Born To Be Wild”, was dropped at midnight on Friday (26th August). The new inter-label unit is known as Triple T.
Composed by JYP CEO Park Jin Young, “Born To Be Wild” is an upbeat hip hop dance track that heavily features various electronic sounds. The song is catchy, but we actually expected more oomph.
The music video was shot in harsh lighting and it gives off a very strong 90s vibe. Personally, the cinematography reminded us of old school K-Pop music videos such as S.E.S’ “I’m Your Girl” and H.O.T’s “We Are The Future”. Like its teaser, the video starts off with Park Jin Young saying, “Yo, it’s about to get crazy out here”. Then, the 3 idols can be seen flaunting their dope dance moves throughout the music video. Did we mention that Jo Kwon is mostly topless here?
On Thursday (25th August), Triple T performed their new single on a special stage for Mnet’s “M!Countdown” ahead of its release and fans went cray!
