These roses have no scent, but it’ll most certainly form an impressive backdrop with a spectacular sea of illuminated white roses made with light-emitting diode, or LED.
Next month, a one-of-kind event titled “The Nightscape of Light Sensation – Love Series” will feature a whopping 30,000 LED white roses planted at MAEPS, Serdang. In addition, the occasion will also feature a Guinness World Record-breaking relay of 708 handheld LED roses.
In celebration of our 59th Independence Day on the 31st August as well as Malaysia Day on the 16th of September, the LED white roses will be spread out in the shape of our national flower, the hibiscus. The objective is to promote unity and to create a harmonious atmosphere by spreading love and care towards all walks of life regardless of age, gender, race, culture, and language.
Why the colour white, you ask? That’s because white represents purity, love, hope, the casting away of fears and also because white is viewed as light during times of darkness.
Beyond the thousands of roses that will be on display, “The Nightscape of Light Sensation – Love Series” will also be offering a slew of other activities to occupy your time while you’re there. Visitors can hop on the Ferris wheel or go to the top of the lookout tower to admire the picturesque LED hibiscus view from above.
There will also be real-life physical adventure games in various retail outlets at the scene. Aside from that, visitors can also check out the food trucks and souvenir stations during the event.
Here are a list of things to look forward to:
- 30,000 LED white roses
