In Tuesday’s (16th August) episode of “HyunA’s X19”, which is HyunA (현아)’s solo reality programme, the sexy rapper revealed her thoughts on the disbandment of 4Minute.
The episode, which was filmed on 29th July, focuses on HyunA’s press conference for her summer comeback, “How’s This” (어때?), and unavoidably, she was asked about her former idol group’s break up.

On 13th June, it was confirmed that 4Minute would disband following their contract expiration due to conflict of interests. HyunA is the only member to renew her contract with CUBE Entertainment.
At first, she said that she was upset by the way people talk as if 4Minute didn’t exist, but when asked about her ex members, HyunA replied that she can only speak for herself and no one else. After the interview, the young idol returned to the waiting room. Looking sad and upset, she confessed that she hates how people think that she’s using 4Minute’s disbandment to promote her comeback. She also added that she actually really cares about what her members think of her.
“As soon as people see those reports, they’ll think of me as ‘that person’. And it’s not like I can say, ‘I’m not that person’. I hate that so much. I hate myself so much. I don’t want to say anything, but I am saying something for which I hate myself. I feel like if (the other members) saw this, they’d hate it so much, too. I don’t care what other people think,” she said while crying on the floor.
