Awwyiss Malaysian rock buffs, where you guys at? Something tells us that Malaysia’s homegrown rock event, Rockaway Festival, is about to make a big return!
The festival posted up an official teaser on their Facebook page just a while ago:
Organised by The Livescape Group, Rockaway Festival is Malaysia’s largest rock festival and has previously featured some of the world’s most popular bands in both its large and small scale instalments such as All Time Low, The Used, Motion City Soundtrack, You Me at Six, Coheed and Cambria, Circa Survive, Boys Like Girls, and more. The festival is also known for being a great platform for emerging local bands.
In October 2013, Rockaway Festival unexpectedly bowed out from the scene with a final show featuring Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, Crossfaith, and Massacre Conspiracy at KL Live, Kuala Lumpur. The event was an emotional one and it saw a sea of Malaysian rock fans giving it one last hurrah before the curtains came down on their favourite festival.
Granted, the latest teaser doesn’t give us much indication of what’s to come, but at least we know that something’s coming our way in 9 days. We’re excited!
