Waze, the free traffic and navigation app powered by the world’s largest community of drivers, has become a part of Malaysians’ lifestyles as the growing economy and rapid developments have made road navigation even more challenging. And let’s admit it, one of the highlights of using Waze is not only the point collection to move up the ranks, but also the celebrity voices that the app features.
In the past, we’ve had Morgan Freeman, Elvis, Arnold Schwarzenegger (as part of the “Terminator Genisys” campaign”), and even Star Wars’ C-3PO. Now, Calpis (Japan’s cultured milk drink) has launched the first-ever Malaysian singing voice prompt on Waze featuring Malaysian darling and international artiste Yuna!
Yes, it’s true – Yuna will sing you through traffic melodiously. Besides, a singing voice navigator can help break the monotony adding to the happy, fun, and festive celebration 🙂
Upon the announcement, Yuna said, “I’m excited and I hope to bring a little goodness to my fans who are stuck in traffic. I also hope that Malaysians stay safe on the roads. Keep calm in traffic, take breaks on long journeys and have some Calpis in between to refresh yourselves.”
“We’re thrilled Calpis is bringing the first Malaysian singing voice, Yuna, to Waze, guiding Wazers along the most optimal route home from Hari Raya or to any destination of their choosing. Celebrity voice prompts are one of our more unique features and a great way to add some fun to a drive. Yuna’s beautiful singing voice is sure to do just that, surprising and delighting drivers at every turn,” Waze Malaysia’s Sales Manager Edward Ling added.
To enable your Waze and enjoy Yuna’s vocals, simply download Waze from your respective iOS or Android app stores. Once installed, select the “menu” option, then click on “settings”. Under “setting”, select the “sound” option and select “English (UK) – Yuna | Calpis”.
In other news, Yuna’s 3rd international studio album, “Chapters”, was named as one of the “Best R&B Albums of 2016 So Far” by the Rolling Stone. The album, released on 20th May, includes mainstream hits such as “Crush”, a duet that features the smooth vocals of Usher, and “Lanes”.
