K-pop fans, here’s something to keep you excited!
8 k-pop idols have been confirmed as the contestants of an upcoming dance competition show, “Hit The Stage”, which will see each star joining forces with a professional dancer to see which group can garner most votes from the audience.
The idols who will be pitted against each other are SNSD Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, SHINee’s Taemin, INFINITE’s Hoya, SISTAR’s Bora, Block B’s U-Kwon, MONSTA X’s Shownu, TWICE’s Momo, and NCT U’s Ten. With a competition focused on idols, it’s only fitting that the host – 2AM’s Jung Jinwoon – is an idol too.
Each episode will see a different set of K-pop stars competing with each other. The competition will offer a chance for the dancers of each idol groups to showcase their dancing chops freely, without restriction of the stiff choreographies.
A different theme will also be featured every week, with idols showing off their skills in the genres of street dance, dance sports, contemporary dance, and more. Furthermore, the combination of idols and professional dancers will be reshuffled every week to present an extra challenge.
