Calling out to all anime lovers!
During yesterday’s (Sunday, 3rd July) “Shingeki Matsuri” event, the staff of Hajime Isayama’s popular Japanese manga series, “Attack on Titan” (進撃の巨人, pronounced as “Shingeki no Kyojin”), has announced that the well-loved anime adaption will return for its 2nd season in Spring 2017!
The upcoming series will be produced by WIT STUDIO and according to IGN, the core staff from the previous season will also be returning, with former episode director Masashi Koizuka moving up as director while Tetsuro Araki will act as chief director.
“Attack on Titan” follows the story of Eren Jaeger (voiced by Yuuki Kaji), a boy who desires to eliminate the titan threat after witnessing his mother killed by a titan. He is joined by his adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman (played by Yui Ishikawa), and his closest friend, Armin Arlert (voiced by Marina Inoue). When a Colossal Titan (a 60-meter-tall giant) appears over Wall Maria, humanity receives a grim reminder that they will always live in fear of the titans.
