It’s not just another day at the beach for Blake Lively.
The “Age Of Adeline” actress is back in an upcoming “Jaws” inspired horror-thriller film, “The Shallows”. Columbia Pictures just released the film’s latest trailer and we may want to reconsider surfing the big waves.
The official synopsis reads:
“In the taut thriller, medical student Nancy (played by Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy’s ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.”
The trailer starts off with Nancy surfing in a beautiful isolated beach. All is well until a great white shark rips her off her board, turning the water red. After that, she is seen clinging to a nearby rock, screaming “SHARK!” to the other surfers. She then plans on defeating the sea monster, so that she can survive.

Thriller aside, the trailer also shows Lively’s flawless bikini body and breath-taking sight of the beautiful Australian beach. The movie was filmed 10 months after the actress gave birth to her baby girl, James. How her body still looks this amazing is beyond us.
The “Gossip Girl” star also showed us a different side of her through her acting for film. This may be the first time we see Lively this intense!

“The Shallows” is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (from “Orphan”) and is slated to be released on 29th June.
