Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) and Cecilia Liu Shishi (劉詩詩) are set to tie the knot in Bali on 20th March 2016.
While Nicky, 45, and Cecilia, 28, are counting down to their big day, their management agency have officially released a bunch of pre-wedding photos showing the couple dressed to the nines in their dreamy attire. These stunning photos were taken last January when the couple flew to New Zealand for their wedding photoshoot.
The Taiwanese actor and singer met and fell in love with the Chinese actress while filming the TVB drama for “Scarlet Coronary Heart (步步驚心)”. They registered their marriage back in January 2015, but couldn’t find time out of their busy professional lives to hold a wedding ceremony. Until now.
Ah Mike reported that the media first got wind of Nicky and Cecilia’s location when they were spotted at Auckland Airport. During an interview with the Chinese media, Nicky revealed that Cecilia loves the natural landscapes that are found in New Zealand. It was a no brainer when it came time to pick a location for their wedding photoshoot.
Best known for the “Lord of the Rings” movies, New Zealand offers enchanting landscapes such as rolling hills, crystal clear lakes, woodlands, along with many beautiful caves. Both Nicky and Cecilia certainly took advantage of what Mother Nature had to offer.
Shot at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves in New Zealand, fashion photographer Liu Zhongyuan did an amazing job with the photoshoot concepts. There were some adorable close-up shots focusing on the couple’s expressions, whimsical snapshots with a stunning backdrop, candid poses, as well as giant chess pieces and snacks being used as props.
An impressive guest list includes Nicky’s former “Little Tigers” bandmates, Alec Su and Julian Chen, while one of the bridesmaid is said to be actress Annie Liu, who starred as Cecilia’s sister on “Scarlet Heart” and “Scarlet Heart 2”.
