It’s official: Zayn Malik confirmed that he’s dating Gigi Hadid!
The chemistry between Malik and the 20-year-old model was palpable when she appeared on the music video of the former 1D star’s solo single “Pillowtalk”.
During his interview with L.A. radio show “Zach Sang and the Gang”, when co-host Jill Gutowitz asked if it was cool to have “your girlfriend in your video”, the 23-year-old responded, “Yeah, that was cool.”
Malik was also posed with a follow-up question – you know, just to be sure – “No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?” to which Malik replied with a laugh, “Exactly, I like what you’ve done there.”
Malik has been dating the blonde runway stunner for 2 months now after calling off his engagement to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards last August while Hadid had split from Joe Jonas just weeks before. Both camps have avoided speaking publicly about their romance.
Until now.
Although the couple have been coy, their actions in Malik’s “Pillowtalk” were anything but subtle. In fact, it was super steamy as the lovebirds are seen kissing in various scenarios. If there were any doubts beforehand, they were squashed after watching the music video.
In MTV’s words: #Zigi is here. #Zigi is now.
“I feel like in the vocal you can get a sense that I’m meaning what I’m saying. I don’t want to be too specific about what it’s about. That is obviously quite personal to me. People can figure it out for themselves,” said Malik of the track. We wonder what he means when he sings “so pure, so dirty and raw“.
He didn’t shy from the song’s explicit sexual theme saying, “Everybody has sex, and it’s something people wanna hear about. It’s part of everybody’s life, a very big part of life! And you don’t wanna sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about“.

Malik also shared that he wanted “Pillowtalk” to look like a dream. “I wanted it be arty and different and out there. That was the whole feel for the video; we wanted a kind of dream feel to it,” he said.
Malik’s upcoming album, “Mind Of Mine”, is set for a release on 25th March 2016 – a year to the day he quit One Direction.
