The girls from All Saints are back :D
That’s right, the 90s girl group – made up of Nicole and sister Natalie Appleton, Melanie Blatt, and Shaznay Lewis – have announced their reunion and revealed that they will be releasing a brand new single and their first album in 10 years!

Kicking things off with their comeback is their lead single titled “One Strike”. The melancholy track was inspired by Nicole Appleton’s very public split from her ex-husband and former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher.
Nicole and Liam – who have a 15 years old son named Gene – decided to split after 5 years of marriage and 13 years together. Liam was found guilty of adultery when he fathered a child with American journalist Liza Ghorbani and later had an affair with his assistant Debbie Gwyther.

“When I write, I just think about what’s on my mind. The lyrics came from somewhere very real. Nic was going through a lot of things at that time. That was at the forefront of my mind because it was the heaviest thing going on,” said Shaznay of the track.
Recalling their conversation, Nicole remembered talking to Shaznay “for hours and hours” on the phone during that difficult period. Her sister, Natalie, was immediately moved by the lyrics. “The first few times I heard it in my car I couldn’t stop crying because I could hear so clearly what it was about,” said Natalie.
All Saints was formed in 1994 but the girl group called it quits in 2001. After a failed reunion in 2006 (their reunion was poorly received at that time), the girls reformed again in 2014 to tour with the Backstreet Boys. That was the genesis that resulted in a new album and a full scale comeback.
“We didn’t force ourselves into this situation and it couldn’t have happened at a better time in all of our lives. I just missed being with the girls. It makes us happy. Listen, if you can work with your favourite people, then why not?” Natalie said.
In the meantime, we suggest listening to one of their hit songs “Never Ever”:
Their single “One Strike” will be released on 26th February 2016 while their 4th album, “Red Flag”, will drop on 8th April 2016.
