If the word “weekend” excites you, you’re not alone. From school kids to working adults to senior citizens, everyone loves weekends. Within these 48 hours, we get to unwind and temporarily escape from the mundane reality.

Before the month of January comes to an end, get the most out of your break by checking out a new 2-day event called Slate Weekend at The Row, Kuala Lumpur.

The Row is hosting the Slate Weekend launch party with workshops and family-friendly activities to celebrate the opening of the newly completed North Block on 30th and 31st January at The Row, Jalan Doraisamy.


Wheel Love Skateshop is a new tenant at the Row and it will be hosting a skate jam on Saturday (30th January) as a treat to all 2 and 4 wheeled lovers. Skaters are also welcomed to drop by the skate clinic at during the Slate Weekend as the folks at Wheel Love will spruce up your skateboards and rollerblades. The team will also show some love by teaching you a thing or two about rolling through life on wheels.

A terrarium workshop will be conducted by Ohsum Mossum for RM150 per person and a mother-daughter bouquet handling CLASS will be conducted by BudsbyIllyana for RM100 per person. All materials are included and participants can walk with their own products.

League of Captains, the popular Phase One tenant, will spice things up a little by hosting a BBQ in conjunction with the Slate Weekend. Of course, music, food, and drinks will be provided. But if you’re not a fan of BBQ, the team at LoC will also be hosting a latte art throwdown on Sunday.

Some other activities that will be happening at the 2-day event include a market to showcase products by local entrepreneurs, a pet adoption drive by SPCA, films and documentaries screenings by EcoKnights, and a book donation drive to help L45 Community library stock up on some much-needed books.
