According to The Star Online, Litrak Group Communication Division manager Shah Rizal Mohamed Fawzi said in a statement that the toll discount, which first started in 2010, is an effort to “help and share in the joy of consumers in celebrating festive seasons”.

He said:

A 60 sen discount is given to LDP users and 20 sen to users of the SPRINT Highway for all classes of vehicles this year.

The toll discount for Christmas Day (25th December) begins at 12:01am and ends at 11:59pm (one day),” he added after opening a 2015 Christmas Day special programme with House of Joy Handicapped Children at the National Zoo yesterday (16th December).

On a different note, Rizal said that Litrak Group will begin using the electronic payment system effectively from next year.

This system is still at the trial stage and will be fully operational in March 2016 for the SPRINT Highway and September 2016 for LDP,” he said.
