If you’re still reeling from the teaser trailer of “Legend“, well, be prepared to fall for Tom Hardy again.
The “Mad Max: Fury Road“ actor is making another big screen appearance through this upcoming London crime thriller film based on the infamous Kray twins. As you may have guessed, he’s playing both gangster twins, Ronnie and Reggie.
Directed and written by Brian Helgeland, “Legend” is produced by Cross Creek Pictures and Working Title. The movie marks Helgeland’s return to adapted screenplays in the genre of crime since the release of 1997’s “L.A. Confidential”.
It is based on “The Profession of Violence: The Rise and Fall of the Kray Twins”, a “true crime” biography written by John Pearson. The book is an account of the rise and fall of the Kray twins, who hired the author to write their biography back in 1967. Their story was then adapted into a movie in 1990, which was directed by Peter Medak.
In this new movie adaptation, the story will follow Reggie Kray, who seeks to control the psychotic tendencies of his twin, Ronnie. The official synopsis is as follows:
