Ever wondered what your pet does when you’re away?
Well, wonder no more for “The Secret Life of Pets” might just have the answers that you’re looking for. Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures recently dropped a super adorable teaser trailer for the upcoming animated comedy that shares a similar concept with “Toy Story“.
“The Secret Life of Pets” will be the 5th fully-animated feature film from Illumination and it tells the story of these furry residents’ daily routine after their owners leave the doorstep.
Slated for release on 8th July 2016, the plot is as follows:
Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max’s life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners.
“The Secret Life of Pets” features voices of comedian Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Albert Brooks, Bobby Moynihan and Hannibal Burress.
Chris Renaud, of “Despicable Me” and “Despicable Me 2” fame, is on board to helm the animated comedy alongside Yarrow Cheney who will co-direct based on a script written by Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime partner Janet Healy will be overseeing the production.
