A slew of character posters for “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” have been released and we gotta say, they look pretty majestic.
Paramount released 6 character posters for the movie yesterday (3rd June), featuring Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg all dressed up in their spy garbs. Additional details about the characters were not revealed, but the phrase “Go Rogue” can be seen plastered onto the centre of all the posters.
The movie will see Cruise reprising his role as the fictional undercover agent, Ethan Hunt. Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames will also return as William Brandt, Benji Dunn, and Luther Stickell. Newcomers include Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin, with the former taking the role of the female lead named Ilsa Faust while the latter will be playing the head of the CIA who will presumably supervise Hunt’s operations.
The plot of the movie is as follows:
Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.
“Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” will see a reunion between director Christopher McQuarrie and Cruise, as they both worked together on 2012’s “Jack Reacher”, the movie adaptation of Lee Child’s 2005 novel “One Shot”. The production on the 5th instalment of the popular spy movie franchise will be overseen by J. J. Abrams (“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”), Bryan Burk (“Star Trek”), and Cruise himself, with a script written by Drew Pearce (“Iron Man 3”).
