Yoochun is the 2nd member from JYJ to enlist in the army, with Kim Jaejoong being the 1st to enlist on 31st March. Vocalist Kim Junsu is the remaining member of the group after Yoochun’s enlistment. The rush for enlistment comes as the 3 of them are approaching the maximum age of conscription in South Korea, which is 30 years old. Jaejoong is 29, while Yoochun and Junsu are both 28.
As Yoochun will be away for 2 years, he held 2 fan meetings at Korea’s Hwajeong University over the weekend to meet his dedicated fans. The musician/actor is also currently featured in the Korean drama “The Girl Who Sees Smells” alongside Shin Se Kyung, Min Namgoong, and Yoon Jinseo.
In other news, Jaejoong has completed 5 weeks of basic training at the 1st Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea, and will be resuming his enlistment as an active-duty soldier with the 55th Infantry Division. He will be serving his military service for 21 months and is expected to discharge on 30th December 2016.
