What better way to celebrate the weekend than with a new collaboration track from DiploCL of 2NE1, RiFF RAFF, and OG Maco?

CL, Seoul’s “baddest female” took to Twitter to announce that a brand new track, which has been in the works since last year, will be released on Friday (22nd May).

It is unclear whether the song will be featured in her upcoming US solo album, but fans are suspecting that more unreleased tracks will be released in the coming month.

“Dr. Pepper” is highly anticipated by fans because a snippet of the track was previously revealed via Diplo’s Snapchat video. At that time, it garnered attention from fans because the female rapper featured in the video has the same distinct voice as CL’s voice. It was only recently confirmed by Diplo that the song is a rap track, which will feature CL, RiFF RAFF, and OG Maco.

CL previously teamed up with Diplo for a explosive performance at the 2014 Style Icon Awards in Seoul. While preparing for her American debut this spring, the 2NE1 leader made a surprise appearance during Jack Ü‘s set at 2015 UMF Miami to perform “Dirty Vibe”, a single from Skrillex’s 2014 album, “Recess”.

She is currently working closely with a number of producers and artistes including Diplo, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas, and Florence + The Machine. American talent manager Scooter Braun will be managing CL’s debut as a solo artiste in America. Braun is currently managing a number of international artistes including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Martin Garrix, and so on.
