Two notable names in the electronic music industry have finally unveiled their highly anticipated new collaboration. Martin Garrix and his mentor Tiësto revealed their track “The Only Way Is Up” along with the music video which showcases their adventure around Miami.

The track was first previewed through a 7Up campaign featuring Garrix and Tiësto before being premiered at Ultra Music Festival back in March.

Tiësto says in a statement:

“I’m a big fan of Martin’s music and his skills as a DJ and producer. The creative process flowed naturally from the start and I’m very happy with how the song turned out. There’s a reason why Martin is one of the hottest artistes on the planet right now.”

Martin too, has something to say about Tiësto:

“The opportunity for me to work with my hero Tiësto was such an incredible experience. We really got to combine both of our visions on this track and the result is simply amazing. Couldn’t be more pleased with the end result.”

Unlike Martin’s recent works inclduing “Don’t Look Down” and “Forbidden Voices”, the duo’s collaboration sees them ditching the heavy bass and big room beats for a more to a melodic direction.

The track is built around a pitched up vocal sample and matching synth melody layered underneath, resulting in a more progressive and refreshing feel. Overall, the tune is catchy and we cannot deny the fact that both producers have put in impressive efforts.
