BlackCat Live and The WonderLand+ proudly presents Pentatonix Live in Malaysia for the very first time. Comprising of five accapella vocalists; Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola, Pentatonix, in short PTX, was first formed in 2011.

Their name Pentatonix, was derived after the pentatonic scale − a musical scale or mode with five notes per octave fits perfectly as the group believes that the scale’s five notes matches their membership. Originating from Arlington, Texas, Pentatonix’s work consists of covers of existing pop songs, sometimes in the form of medleys, along with some original material.

Known for their musical arrangement, strong presence of low bass vocals and a diverse range of vocal percussion, Pentatonix is one of the most exciting act to take over the internet and social media, specifically YouTube, with 7.8 million subscribers and over 880 million cumulative views. The PTXofficial YouTube page is currently the 12th most subscribed-to music channel and the 42nd most subscribed channel overall worldwide. The groups’s Christmas album, “That’s Christmas to Me” was certified platinum in USA alone in December 2014, becoming the highest-charting holiday album by a group since 1962.
