Looks like Lenny’s not coming our way!
Lenny Kravitz who was set to perform at the post-race concert for the 2015 Formula Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix on March 29th (Sunday) has cancelled his show. According to the “Are You Gonna Go My Way” rocker’s statement, the cancellation is due to unforeseen scheduling issues.
“Unfortunately, due to contractual scheduling conflicts beyond my control I will not be able to come to Kuala Lumpur to perform. I have been looking forward to coming to play for my fans and I’m deeply sorry that my concert had to be cancelled. My ability to come play for you all is a huge concern to me and I’m looking forward to rescheduling so I can perform for you as soon as possible,” said Kravitz.
Fortunately, the show must go on so ticket holders can be rest assured that the post-race concert happening from 6.30pm to 11.30pm at Helipad in Sepang International Circuit will go on as scheduled.
“We understand the disappointment of Lenny Kravitz’s fans, and we have taken steps to ensure that a rocking good time will still be enjoyed at the concert by securing another artiste as the new headline act, to complement our line-up of local performers. We will be announcing the new headline act soon, so do look out for news from us,” said Dato’ RazlanRazali, CEO of Sepang International Circuit.
Tickets purchased for the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix permits ticket holders entry to the post-race concert as well as the F1 Carnival and other selected activities at no extra cost. Ticket holders will also be rewarded with One Ticket Unlimited benefits which includes discounts and promotions from various retail outlets and brands in Kuala Lumpur.
