With the festive season round the corner, there will be no end to the number of celebrations and parties with relatives, friends and colleagues, and whether you’ve already got a date or flying solo. Now that Christmas is less than 10 days away, it’s crunch time! So if you’re planning a Christmas party with lots of drinks in tow and you’re out of ideas, then you’re in luck because we’ve picked out some William Grant & Sons yummylicious cocktails that you’d want to be serving up at your Christmas party.

And, you know, impress your friends while you’re at it.

Hendricks Gin – The Hippocras Punch


Hendricks Hippocras Punch

You need:

  1. 1L white wine
  2. 350ml Hendrick’s Gin
  3. 250ml Chamomile tea
  4. ½ pineapple chopped
  5. 200g caster sugar
  6. 3 cloves
  7. 2 cinnamon sticks
  8. 4 orange peels
  9. 1 tea spoon of white pepper


Combine all of the ingredients in a small pot and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Pour into a teapot and serve hot in teacups with some Anzac biscuits. Garnish with mint leaves.

Monkey Shoulder – Monkey Fig Sour

Monkey Shoulder Monkey Fig Sour

You need:

  1. 50ml Monkey Shoulder
  2. 25ml lemon Juice
  3. 10ml Sugar Syrup
  4. Dash Egg white
  5. 20ml Fig Liqueur
  6. 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters


Shake all ingredients together and double strain into a rock glass. Garnish with lemon wedge and fresh cherry.

Reyka – New Maid

Reyka New Maid

You need:

  1. 2 Parts Reyka Vodka
  2. ¾ Part Simple syrup
  3. 1 Part lime juice
  4. Small handful of mint leaves
  5. 3 slices of cucumber


Shake and fine strain into ice rocks glass. Garnish with a mint sprig poked through a cucumber wheel.

Let’s not forget that if you’ve got a bottle of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum lying around, you could also quickly whip up these Sailor Jerry cocktails! Our personal favourite is the “Shave & a Haircut” 😉
